 | Barnes ''Barney'' King |
 It is with great sadness that we report the passing of Barnes "Barney" King.
Barney, husband of the late Yvonne Lopes King, Property Mistress for The DuPont Playhouse and longtime member of Local 284, lost his battle with cancer on November 29, 2008 surrounded by family and friends. He is survived by his Daughter Lonnie, Granddaughter Darby and two Sons, Scott and Kalai
Barney will be remembered fondly by members as an historian, storyteller, and friend to the Local. We extend our deepest sympathies to his family and friends.

| Services for Brother Jarvis B. Wilsher |
 A Funeral Service for Brother Jarvis B. Wilsher, member of Local #284 who passed away on August 20, will be held at 11am on August 30, 2008. Friends and family will gather at the cemetery behind the Washington Memorial Chapel in Valley Forge National Park, Valley Forge, Pennsylvania.
Brother Wilsher was a member of Local #52 Motion Picture Studio Mechanics, as well as being a member of Local #284 for more than 18 years. He is survived by his wife Liz, and no details are yet known regarding donations of any kind.

| New Performance times at the DuPont Theatre! |
The 2006-07 season brings many changes to #284 members and patrons alike!
The DuPont Theatre has changed it's performance schedule to an earlier showtime on weekday nights and a shorter run for each show in the subscription series. With the start of the new season, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday evening performances for all DuPont Theatre shows will now be at 7:30pm.
SO......In a Nutshell....
An average week at the playhouse now looks like this:
Tues eve. 7:30, Wed mat. 2pm, Wed eve. 7:30, Thurs eve. 7:30, Fri eve. 8pm, Sat mat. 2pm, Sat eve. 8pm, Sun mat. 2pm
